Product Description
This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for nanomaterials across the states, union territories and cities of India. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across over 5,000 cities in India. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it’s state or union territory and of India as a whole is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each state or union territory and city, latent demand estimates are created for nanomaterials. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the cities in India). This study gives, however, my estimates for the latent demand, or the P.I.E., for nanomaterials in India. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided and concentrated across the cities and regional markets of India. For each state or union territory, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time. In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on strategic planning at graduate schools of business.

Product Description

Making a clear distinction is made between nano- and micro-mechanical testing for physical reasons, this monograph describes the basics and applications of the supermicroscopies AFM and SNOM, and of the nanomechanical testing on rough and technical natural surfaces in the submicron range down to a lateral resolution of a few nm. New or improved instrumentation, new physical laws and unforeseen new applications in all branches of natural sciences (around physics, chemistry, mineralogy, materials science, biology and medicine) and nanotechnology are covered as well as the sources for pitfalls and errors. It outlines the handling of natural and technical samples in relation to those of flat standard samples and emphasizes new special features. Pitfalls and sources of errors are clearly demonstrated as well as their efficient remedy when going from molecularly flat to rough surfaces. The academic or industrial scientist learns how to apply the principles for tackling their scientific or manufacturing tasks that include roughness far away from standard samples.

Product Description
This electronic book on DVD-ROM provides a comprehensive guide to one of America’s top research organizations, the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). NRL has been involved in many historic scientific achievements, including gamma-ray radiography, radar, radio propagation, nuclear subs, the liquid thermal diffusion process, solar spectrum, lubricants, detection of solar x-rays, fracture testing, Vanguard rockets and satellite, over-the-horizon radar, operational intelligence satellites, nuclear reactor safety, deep ocean search, GPS, lasers, holography, gyroscopes, the lunar Clementine satellite, and more. The disc contains nearly 3 gigabytes of material, and over 31,000 pages reproduced using Adobe Acrobat software, including nearly 300 NRL scientific research project reports. There are 12 videos in mov format demonstrating advanced technologies including various robotics programs. Elements of their important research, which has frequently extended well beyond the specific needs of the U.S. Navy, include materials, radar, rockets, oceanography, astronomy, space systems, nanoscience, fleet and ship innovations and improvements, sea shield and sea strike programs, sensors, bioengineering, and even neural computation. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is famous for its wide-ranging research. NRL is the corporate research laboratory for the Navy and Marine Corps and conducts a broad program of scientific research, technology and advanced development. NRL has served the Navy and the nation for nearly 80 years and continues to meet the complex technological challenges of today’s world. NRL has made many distinguished contributions to military science and technology and to the transition of that science and technology to practical application.
